Before You Ride...

Before you ride a moped or motorcycle on the public highway for the first time you need Compulsory Basic Training (CBT).

It is the minimum level of motorcycle rider training legally required, even for moped riders.

However, if you obtained your full car driving licence before 1st February 2001 you do not need CBT to ride a moped but, you must have CBT for any other motorbike or scooter.
